Mr. Ben - School Age Director

Education
I attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where I received a Bachelor of Science in Education: Physical Education License Pre-K thru 12th Grade.

Experience with Children
Currently I am the School-Age Director for Kids Junction.

I have worked 4 Years at Kids Junction including 1 year as a lead teacher, 1 year as School-Age Assistant Director, and 2 years as School-Age Director.

I served as a long term substitute at the elementary and middle school in the Hartford School District and as a Physical Education and Special Education Teacher in the Milwaukee Public School District.

I also served in 3 other summer programs for 4 years prior to coming to Kids Junction. Two years at a center in the Menomonee Falls area, 1 year at the YMCA summer camp at the North Shore YMCA, and a year at a program in the Madison area.

Personal Information
I am from Wisconsin and enjoy Wisconsin sports.

Ms Laura

Education
I have a degree from Edgewood College in Early Childhood Special Education and Preschool through third grade.

Experience with Children
I have been employed with the Middleton, Cross Plains Area School District for 7 years. I work at Kromrey Middle School helping children with special needs.

Personal Information
I am originally from Richland Center, Wisconsin. I love spending time with family and friends. A few of my interests are sporting events, shopping, and doing puzzles.

Ms Lauren

Education
I am currently enrolled at Edgewood College pursing an Elementary Education degree with a minor in Science Education.

Experience with Children
I have been a babysitter/nanny since 2002. I have over 350 hours of volunteer experience in an Elementary school setting. I have also completed over 60 required practicum hours in local Madison schools.

Personal Information
I was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin and have been going to school in Madison since 2006. Besides working at Kids Junction, I also have an on campus job for the Natural Science Department. I enjoy doing yoga, pilates, running, and spending time with my family and friends.

Ms Molly

Education
I am currently attending Edgewood College where I am pursing a degree in Elementary Education and Psychology.

Experience with Children
I have been a teacher at Kids Junction for almost two years. In addition, I have been a babysitter/nanny for ten years. I have worked with children from ages 0-14. I have completed over 120 practicum hours in the surrounding Madison schools and currently also work as a Teacher's Assistant at Edgewood Campus School.

Personal Information
I am originally from Highland, Wisconsin. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. A few of my interests are camping, scrapbooking, and shopping.

Ms Pam

Education
I am graduate of UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Middle Childhood - Early Adolescence, and I am certified to teach grades 1-8.

Experience with Children
In addition to my two years at Kids Junction, I have been working with children consistently since high school. During high school I coached volleyball for children in elementary and middle school and am currently doing so as a club coach for 15 year old girls. During my time at UW-Milwaukee I was able to do my student practicum in five different classrooms ranging from second to eighth grade. Each of these experiences was a semester long and reinforced my dream to become a teacher.

Personal Information
I grew up in Spring Green, WI, the youngest of seven. I have wanted to be a teacher since the first grade, and everything I have done in my life has prepared me for my career. I love spending time with my family, friends, and relaxing with a good book!

Mr Andrew

Education
I have been homeschooled my whole life up until the fall of 2008 where I attended Madison Area Technical College for a semester. I graduated from high school in the spring of 2009. I am planning on attending MATC in the spring or fall of 2010 where I will be enrolled in the Degree Transfer Program.

Experience with Children
I have worked with the school age kids at Kids Junction since the summer of 2009. I coached boy's gymnastics for the past three years at Badger Gymnastics Academy in Madison. I have taken many baby sitting jobs and have always enjoyed working with kids.

Personal Information
I have grown up with my two brothers and two sisters with me being in the middle and I love spending time with all of them. Some of my interests are disc golfing, parkour, and spending time with my friends.

Mr Jordan

Education
I graduated from Edgewood College in the Fall of 2009 with a degree in Mathematics Teaching and a Minor in Secondary Education. I plan to get a masters degree and eventually a PhD in education within the next ten years.

Experience with Children
Currently I have been working at Kids Junction for the past 5 summers and on and off during the regular school year. I have also been a camp counselor/coordinator for various church camps for the past 8 years.

I served as a substitute teacher at elementary, middle, and high schools in the Sun Prairie and Middleton School District . Along with substitute teaching I currently run and am a part of various math tutoring opportunities in the Madison area for grades 5-12.

I also was a certified gymnastics instructor for preschool students up to national level gymnasts.

Personal Information
Being home-schooled for my precollege education gave me many opportunities. I was a nationally ranked gymnast and won the Big Ten Club Championships in 2006 for gymnastics. I enjoy disc golfing throughout the Midwest and I'm looking forward to getting married in the Fall of 2010.

Ms Kristyn

Education
I have a degree from St. Norbert College in Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence Education with minors in Language Arts and English as a Second Language.

Experience with Children
I spent two years working as an after school teacher and summer program teacher in the Green Bay area. I also have experience working with children ages five through fourteen in various school settings as a pre-service and student teacher through the St. Norbert College Education Program. I graduated from St. Norbert in May, and I am looking for a teaching job in the Green Bay or Madison area

Personal Information
I am originally from De Pere , Wisconsin. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, snowmobiling, boating, downhill skiing, reading, and watching movies. 

Ms Caitlyn

Education
I am currently attending UW-Madison where I am pursuing a Special Education degree specializing in either Elementary Cognitive Disabilities or Learning Disabilities.

Experience with Children
I have been babysitting/nannying for 6 years. I have been volunteering in elementary school settings since 2005 and have over 40 hours volunteering in elementary schools since attending UW-Madison. I was also an inclusion camp counselor in 2009.

Personal Information
I am from Eden Prairie , Minnesota and went to University of Minnesota-Duluth my freshman year. I then transferred to UW-Madison my sophomore year. I have always wanted to be a teacher and a few years ago I realized I wanted to be a special education teacher. I love being outside and rollerblading.
