Meet the Kids Junction Summer Adventure Camp Team!

Our summer program is highly successful because of our quality staff and our creative programming. Our staff are selected because of their energetic, outgoing, and fun-loving personalities, their ability to positively guide your children, and their desire to make a difference! Most of our amazing staff are pursuing or have earned degrees in early childhood education. At a minimum, our counselors are required to have completed a School-Age certification course or equivalent and a S.A.C. training program. Working together with our office and kitchen staff, we are happy to say we have the best staff you could ever want for your child!  Welcome to our Kids Junction Summer Adventure Camp Family.

Mr. Ben - School Age Director

Education
I attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where I received a Bachelor of Science in Education: Physical Education License Pre-K thru 12th Grade.

Early Childhood
I served as a long term substitute at the elementary and middle school in the Hartford School District and as a Physical Education and Special Education Teacher in the Milwaukee Public School District. I also served in 3 other summer programs for 4 years prior to coming to Kids Junction. I started working at Kids Junction in 2006 and have really enjoyed working with the staff and the children in both the summer and school age programs!

Personal Information
I am from Wisconsin and am a huge sports fan, particularly the Green Bay Packers. I am married and my wife Tanya is also a teacher.

Ms. Molly- Team Leader

Education
I attended Edgewood College where I received a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology.

Early Childhood
I started working at Kids Junction in 2006 in both the summer and after school programs. i love working at Kids Junction because of the fun environment. I love watching the kids work to reach their goals and how happy they are when the realize they accomplished something!

Personal Information
I grew up in Highland, WI and I enjoy camping along with scrap-booking.

Ms. Pam-Team Leader

Education
I am graduate of UW-Milwaukee with a degree in Middle Childhood - Early Adolescence, and I am certified to teach grades 1-8.

Early Childhood
I started working at Kids Junction in 2006 as an After School teacher. I have been a volleyball coach for elementary and middle school girls. During my time at UW-Milwaukee I was able to do my student practicum in five different classrooms ranging from second to eighth grade. It has always been my dream to be a teacher and everything I have done in my life has prepared me for my career.

Personal Information
I grew up in Spring Green, WI and was recently married. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and scrap booking.

Ms. Caitlyn

Education
I am currently attending UW-Madison where I am pursuing a Special Education degree specializing in either Elementary Cognitive Disabilities or Learning Disabilities.

Early Childhood
I have been babysitting/nannying for 6 years. I have been volunteering in elementary school settings since 2005 and have over 40 hours volunteering in elementary schools since attending UW-Madison. I was also an inclusion camp counselor in 2009.

Personal Information
I am from Eden Prairie , Minnesota and went to University of Minnesota-Duluth my freshman year. I then transferred to UW-Madison my sophomore year. I have always wanted to be a teacher and a few years ago I realized I wanted to be a special education teacher. I love being outside and rollerblading.

Ms. Lauren

Education
I am currently enrolled at Edgewood College pursing an Elementary Education degree with a minor in Science Education.

Early Childhood
I have been a babysitter/nanny since 2002. I have over 350 hours of volunteer experience in an Elementary school setting. I have also completed over 60 required practicum hours in local Madison schools.

Personal Information
I was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin and have been going in school in Madison since 2006. Besides working at Kids Junction, I also have an on campus job for the Natural Science Department. I enjoy doing Pilates, running and spending time with my family and friends.

Mr. Jordan

Education
I graduated from Edgewood College with a degree in Mathematics Teaching and a minor in Secondary Education. I currently teach at West High School.

Early Childhood
I have been working at Kids Junction since 2006 in both the summer and after school programs. I have been a camp counselor for various church camps since 2003.

Personal Information
I am from Madison and was recently married. My wife is a preschool teacher at Kids Junction. In my spare time I enjoy gymnastics and disc golf.

Mr. Andrew

Education
I have been home schooled my whole life up until the fall of 2008 where I attended Madison Area Technical College for a semester. I graduated from high school in the spring of 2009. I am planning on attending MATC in the spring or fall of 2010 where I will be enrolled in the Degree Transfer Program.

Early Childhood
I have worked with the school age kids at Kids Junction since the summer of 2009. I coached boy's gymnastics for the past three years at Badger Gymnastics Academy in Madison. I have taken many baby sitting jobs and have always enjoyed working with kids.

Personal Information
I have grown up with my two brothers and two sisters with me being in the middle and I love spending time with all of them. Some of my interests are disc golfing, parkour, and spending time with my friends.

Ms. Laura

Education
I have a degree from Edgewood College in Early Childhood Special Education and Preschool through third grade.

Early Childhood
I have been employed with the Middleton, Cross Plains Area School District for 7 years. I work at Kromrey Middle School helping children with special needs.

Personal Information
I am originally from Richland Center, Wisconsin. I love spending time with family and friends. A few of my interests are sporting events, shopping, and doing puzzles.

Ms. Kelly

Education
I am currently attending UW Madison earning a degree in Elementary Education.

Early Childhood
I started working with Kids Junction in the summer of 2011.

Personal Information
I am from Park Ridge, Il. I love spending time with friends and running.

Ms. Grace

Education
I am currently enrolled at Madison Area Technical College. I plan to transfer to UW-Milwaukee to earn a degree in Deaf Education.

Early Childhood
I started working for Kids Junction in 2011 as an After School teacher. I have also worked as a babysitter and a nanny.

Personal Information
I grew up in Cross Plains, WI! I have 3 brothers and a sister. I love spending time with my friends & family and being outdoors! For the past 2 years I have helped coach a girl's softball team!
